PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has issued a notification regarding the transfer and appointment of four senior officials in the provincial bureaucracy. The move is part of the government’s efforts to streamline the administration and improve departmental efficiency.

The Establishment Department’s notification stated that the government had reassigned Irfan Ullah Mehsud, who was the Additional Collector at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority.

The government has also transferred Syed Mazhar Ali Shah from the post of Additional Secretary of Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control to the post of Additional Secretary of the Department of Interior.

Asif Ali has assumed his new role as Additional Secretary for Excise and Taxation while awaiting his next official duties. Gul Bano has been transferred to the Interior Department after serving as Director of the Finance Department’s Shared Services Unit in her Grade 18 officer position.

The new appointments will improve coordination among provincial administration departments, in line with the expected outcomes of these changes.

 

 

Govt appoints new Director of KP Culture and Tourism in latest reshuffle

Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has appointed Halima, a competent and experienced PMS grade-18 officer, as Director of Culture and Tourism.

Ms Halima previously served as Additional IG Prisons, where she earned recognition for her professional competence, integrity, and effective leadership.

Officials said her new assignment is expected to be a positive step for the province’s cultural sector. With extensive administrative experience, she is anticipated to play a key role in promoting the province’s cultural heritage and further developing tourism through innovative management strategies.

Observers and local officials have expressed confidence that Ms Halima’s leadership will bring renewed focus and efficiency to the department, enhancing both cultural initiatives and tourism activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
