PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Higher Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi on Tuesday formed a grievance redressal committee to ensure transparency in the recruitment of visiting lecturers at the government educational institutions.

On the instructions of the Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Local Government, Meena Khan Afridi, a Grievance Redressal Committee has been constituted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure transparency in the recruitment process for visiting lecturers. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department has issued a formal notification regarding this initiative.

According to the notification, complaints from candidates about the ongoing temporary recruitment process based on semester and credit hours will be addressed promptly to resolve concerns over transparency.

The Grievance Redressal Committee will be chaired by the Special Secretary of Higher Education, with the Additional Secretary of Colleges, the Director General of Education, and other senior officials as members.

Candidates are invited to submit written complaints regarding the recruitment of visiting lecturers until December 26, 2025. Complaints submitted after this deadline will not be considered.

To facilitate the submission of complaints, candidates can communicate via email, WhatsApp, or phone. The committee will review the complaints received and present its recommendations to the appropriate authority.

Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi emphasised that preventing recommendations, corruption, and nepotism in the recruitment of visiting lecturers is a top priority for the government, and any irregularities in this process will not be tolerated.
