PESHAWAR (Kashifuddin Syed): The Excise Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced an auction for personalised and “Choice” number plates, scheduled to take place on May 18 at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar. Interested bidders must submit their applications by 12:00 PM on May 16 to participate in the event.

The auction features an extensive array of prestigious and custom titles. Among the most prominent offerings are Sethi 1, Chaudhry 1, Kormang 1, Khan Qila 1 & 5, Botar 1, Vera 1, Par Hoti 1 & 5, Abdul Khel 1, Malik 1, and Baloch 1. Additionally, the event will highlight plates rooted in regional and tribal identities, such as Tank 1, Chitral 1, Bacha 1, Pir 1, Shabqadar 1, Charsadda 1, Isa Khel 1, Safi 1, Betni 1, Fazal 1, Atman Khel 1, and Hashtnagar 1. Other notable names included in the list are Achakzai 1, Ahmadzai 1, Bangash 1, Tori 1, Sardar 1, Sherani 1, Chughtai 1, Lodhi 1, Qalandar 1, Popalzai 1, Sorani 1, Mandnar 1, Toro 1, Kundi 1, Tanoli 1, Khudukhel 1, and Yarakhel 1.

Provincial Minister for Excise, Syed Fakhar Jahan, emphasised that this auction provides a unique opportunity for citizens to acquire distinctive marks. He noted that these people-friendly reforms align with the vision of the founding chairman and the leadership of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Minister further stated that while the project offers personalised convenience to the public, it is also expected to generate significant revenue for the provincial government.
