The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stressed to expedite work on Swat and Peshawar-D.I Khan Motorways and said that construction of motorways is among the signature projects of the provincial government and progress should be ensured on them according to the timelines.
There is no room for any delay in the implementation of these projects, I will personally supervise them, Chief Minister said. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will provide all resources for public interest projects on priority basis, Sohail Afridi added.
Regular legislation will be enacted to protect the construction and completion of mega projects, regardless of which party the government is there. The provincial government is laying a network of roads to promote business, employment and trade in the province, the Chief Minister added.
“The construction of new motorways will strengthen the local economy, increase new employment opportunities and development activities”, the Chief Minister remarked. The meeting will review the progress on Peshawar DI Khan and Dir Motorways, Swat Expressway Phase II.
