The first formal meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet under the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is likely to approve the Aman(Peace) Jirga declaration.
As the meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been called for November 14. This meeting will be the first regular meeting chaired by the Chief Minister after assuming office, the agenda of which has also been released.
According to official sources, 10 ministers, a special assistant, and 2 advisors have been invited to attend the meeting. The Aman Jirga declaration is likely to be formally approved in the meeting, which will be an important step for promoting law and order in the province.
The 53-point agenda released for the cabinet meeting includes several important and key issues, including approval for the replacement of 25 official vehicles for District Sessions Judges, a recommendation for a 20% increase in tax at Swat Expressway toll plazas, and initiation of practical steps on various resolutions passed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
Approval to lift the ban on the purchase of VIP vehicles for the Governor, and formal approval of the One Farmer, One Cow project for the promotion of agriculture and rural economy in the province. Approval for the release of special funds for the victims of Tirah and North Waziristan, so that the rehabilitation process of the affected areas is accelerated, and provision of a bulletproof vehicle for a bench of the Peshawar High Court.
According to further sources, performance reports of various departments will also be presented in the meeting, and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will issue new instructions to increase the pace of provincial administration and development projects.
According to political and administrative circles, this meeting will prove to be an important step in giving a new momentum to development and administrative affairs in the province, and the decisions taken by the cabinet will also have an impact at the public level.
