ISLAMABAD: Following a reduction in petrol and high-speed diesel prices, the government has also lowered the price of kerosene oil.
According to an official notification, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs7.23 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs311.73 per litre.
The notification stated that the revised price has come into effect immediately from today.
Prior to the reduction, kerosene oil was being sold at Rs318.96 per litre. Last week, the government had already slashed kerosene prices by Rs41.80 per litre.
Earlier, the government also announced a reduction in the prices of major petroleum products.
According to the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs5 per litre, setting the new price at Rs409.78 per litre.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by Rs5 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs409.58 per litre.
