KOHISTAN (Kamran Ali Shah):  Leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and owner of a private company, Amir Zayab Dasu, was presented today in an accountability court concerning the ongoing Kohistan corruption scandal. The court granted a 10-day physical remand to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for further investigation.

During the hearing, NAB’s special prosecutor, Hazrat Hayat Khan, along with the investigating officer, requested additional time to interrogate Dasu, citing evidence linking him to the scandal through transactions made by his private enterprise.

The investigation has revealed that Amir Zayb Dasu has accounts with the National Bank and Askari Bank in Dasso, with transactions totaling 357.299 million rupees. These findings have implicated him in the ongoing corruption probe.

In response to NAB’s request, Accountability Court Judge Amjad Zia Siddiqui approved the 10-day remand, allowing the agency to continue its investigation.

This arrest marks a significant development in the high-profile Kohistan corruption scandal, which is currently under scrutiny.
