ISLAMABAD: Jazz handed over 80 tons of relief goods, including 2,500 packages of food and essential medicines, to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for distribution among families affected by recent floods in South Punjab.
A delegation from Veon and Jazz visited the National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC), where they were welcomed by NDMA Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik. The NDMA team briefed the delegation on the flood situation and NEOC’s operational capacity.
According to NDMA, relief operations are continuing under special directives of the Prime Minister. So far, 2,215 tons of aid has been delivered across Punjab, consisting of tents, blankets, quilts, mosquito nets, folding beds, water filtration plants, water cans, and 17 boats. Additionally, 35,000 tents have been provided to assist displaced families.
NDMA said it remains in close coordination with civil, military, and welfare organisations and is actively monitoring relief activities across flood-hit regions.
