PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has expressed his commitment to national security and the defence of the province’s borders, saying that protecting every inch of Pakistan is their obligation and they would fulfil it at all costs.
In a video message, CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stressed that Pakistan is always ready to deal with any external or internal threat, and no compromise will be made on national security.
“Pakistan Army, law enforcement agencies and the provincial government are constantly vigilant to protect the borders and ensure the stability of the country,” Mr Afridi said and added that national security is the common duty of every citizen and all institutions.
Sohail Afridi further said that in view of the current global and regional tensions, protecting every inch of Pakistan’s borders was their top priority. He also appealed to the public to cooperate with the institutions in defence of the country and support all possible measures against anti-national elements.
The Chief Minister stated that both the provincial government and federal institutions are making every effort to ensure a strong response to any threats or acts of aggression. They are committed to protecting the integrity of Pakistan and ensuring the safety of its citizens at all costs.
