ISLAMABAD (Sheraz Ahmad Sherazi): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday suspended the notification of a female member of the National Assembly following the order of the Islamabad High Court.
According to a notification issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and in accordance with the order of the Islamabad High Court dated February 23, 2026, in Writ Petition 903, 2026 titled “Hina Bibi vs. Sadaf Ihsan and others,” Notification No. F.6(4)/2024-Cord-Vol-III, dated January 28, 2026, has been suspended.
The notification had declared Sadaf Ihsan as the returned candidate for the seat reserved for women in the National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province until further orders.
