ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced 23 Inspector (BS-16) vacancies in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, offering eligible candidates an opportunity to join the force through a competitive recruitment process.

According to details issued by the FPSC, candidates can apply for the posts in category of Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control until August 31, 2026. Applicants must hold minimum Bachelor degree from an HEC recognised universities. The age limit has been set between 20 to 28 years with a general relaxation of five years in the upper age limit for government employees.

Under the physical requirements, the male candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, while the female candidates must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall. Also male candidates must have a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches. Candidates must have 6/6 eyesight, while near vision should not be below J-1.

For the physical test, male candidates will have to complete a 1.6-kilometre run in seven minutes, on the other hand female candidates will have to complete the same distance in 10 minutes. The ICT Police Department will conduct physical measurements and tests on the recommendation of the FPSC.

Of the 23 vacancies, one is on merit, five are allocated to Islamabad, nine to Punjab, two to Sindh Rural, one to Sindh Urban, two to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one to Balochistan, one to former FATA and one to Azad Kashmir. The newly recruited inspectors will be posted in Islamabad.
