ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reached Pakistan and landed through Noor Khan airbase with his special airline, narrated with hashtag #MenaB 168, a symbolic commemoration for the martyred school students targeted by US jet fighters with cold blooded manner.
The Iranian President was received by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto, and other high-ranking officers. The Iranian president was warmly welcomed with 21 guns salute and a reception of Pakistan JF-17 Thunder.
According to official sources, the visit of President Masoud Peshkeshkian is being described as very important in terms of promoting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran. During this visit, the leadership of the two countries will have detailed discussions on several issues of mutual interest, the regional situation, economic cooperation, and partnership in the energy sector.
According to sources, the Iranian president will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior Pakistani officials during his visit, in which the possibilities of further strengthening trade, border cooperation, investment, energy projects, and people-to-people contacts will be reviewed. According to reports, the Iranian president’s special plane also had the hashtag “Menab 168” written on it, which attracted the attention of the media and public circles. However, official details in this regard have not been revealed.
Political and diplomatic experts say that this visit of the Iranian president is taking place at a time when important diplomatic activities are underway in the region, so the results of this visit can play an important role in further expanding Pakistan-Iran relations.
