The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has announced Sardar Tanveer as its new president for Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
In this connection an official notification, said that former AJK prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has been appointed as President, and Nisar Ansar Abdali is named as the General Secretary of the IPP Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The appointments take immediate effect, with the official notifications bearing the signature of IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan.
It is worth to mentioning here that on Wednesday last, the for¬¬m¬¬er AJK prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has resigned from PPP following differences over distribution of party tickets and joined the IPP.
On this occasion, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that he has joined the IPP to work for the stability of the country. He made the announcement during a press conference held alongside IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan.
