ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTCL) on Sunday announced that maintenance activity is planned on one of the submarine cables to repair a fault by the International Cable Consortium. The activity is planned for a week during which consumers are likely to face internet disruption.
According to a statement issued by the PTCL, A maintenance activity is planned on one of our Submarine cables to repair a fault by the International Cable Consortium. The activity will start on 11 May 2026 and can last till 18 May 2026.
The major Internet provider, PTCL, also mentioned that users across Pakistan may face service disruptions during evening hours in the coming days.
