ISLAMABAD: Reports published in international media have cast doubt on the claims made by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the solitary confinement, alleged mistreatment, and medical neglect of jailed party founder Imran Khan.

According to various global media outlets, available information and official medical updates present a different picture from the party’s narrative.

PTI had consistently maintained that its founding leader was being held in complete isolation, denied proper medical care, and subjected to deliberate neglect. However, international reports indicate that regular medical checkups have been conducted, and necessary healthcare facilities have been extended when required.

In a recent instance concerning his health, the PTI founder was shifted to PIMS Hospital for a detailed medical examination, where a team of specialist doctors evaluated his condition. According to administrative and medical authorities, he was declared healthy and fit following the examination.

While PTI leaders continue to uphold their claims regarding prison conditions and health concerns, international coverage and government responses have highlighted discrepancies in these assertions. The government maintains that adequate medical facilities and regular checkups by expert doctors are consistently ensured for all inmates, citing recent hospital transfers as clear evidence of adherence to required standards of care.
