PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), in collaboration with the Frontier 4×4 Club, successfully organized the 14th Indus Water Cross Jeep Race at Hund, Swabi, on Monday. The thrilling motorsport event attracted a large number of spectators and featured skilled drivers from across the province.

Director General KP Culture and Tourism Authority, Mr. Muhammad Usman Mehsud, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Director Administration KPCTA Shahryar Mahmood, Director Tourism Muhammad Ali Syed, Assistant Commissioner Chota Lahore Sadam Bajwa and other notable officials.

The competition was held in three different categories. In the first category zero to 6000cc, Baryal Khan got first position, Basir Khan stood second, while Imran claimed third position. In the 2nd category zero to 3000cc, Mr. Abi won first place, followed by Raza Jan in second position and Raza SS in third. In the women’s category, Marjan Yousafzai secured first position.

More than 50 racers participated in the event, competing on a challenging three-kilometer track designed to driving skills and endurance. Speaking on the occasion, DG KPCTA Muhammad Usman Mehsud stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is fully committed to promoting tourism across the province and is actively working on multiple tourism-related development projects. He announced that a theme park at Hund, Swabi, would soon be developed under a public-private partnership model, while picnic spots, rest areas, and other facilities would also be established near the Swabi Dam to enhance tourist attractions in the region. At the conclusion of the race, the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the winning drivers.
