ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, is fully sound and his medical check-up was done last night at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
Information Minister Atta Tarar, speaking to the media, stated that Imran Khan was taken to PIMS last night based on recommendations from the doctors at Adiala Jail. After a brief examination, he was then returned to the prison.
According to Atta Tarar, Imran Khan’s health is perfectly fine, and only baseless false information is being spread on social media about the PTI founder’s health.
“Eye specialists examined him in Adiala Jail and recommended that he be taken to PIMS for a minor medical procedure. Last Saturday night, he was transferred to PIMS based on the eye doctors’ recommendations,” Tarar stated.
He added that at PIMS, “his eyes were further examined, and after obtaining his written consent, a 20-minute medical procedure was performed.”
