COLOMBO: The much-anticipated clash between Pakistan and India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is facing the possibility of disruption due to rain in Colombo.

The crucial Group A match between Pakistan and India is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, in Colombo. However, unpredictable weather conditions have cast uncertainty over the high-voltage encounter.

In a nutshell, the critical match for Pakistan and India in Group A is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 15. However, due to variable climatic conditions, doubts now hang over the match.

According to the latest updates received through various meteorological reports, there is a 50 percent chance of rainfall and thunderstorms during the match. In addition, 2.1mm of rainfall is expected at 6 PM.

If the match is washed out, one point each will be awarded to Pakistan and India. The fans are waiting for the match not to be affected by the weather conditions.

Currently, Pakistan is leading Group A with four points, having won both the matches played thus far in the tournament.

Flight prices to Colombo soar ahead of India-Pakistan T20 clash

Earlier, Flight tickets to Colombo have surged sharply after Pakistan lifted its boycott of the India match scheduled for February 15 in the T20 World Cup.

Fares from major cities in India to Colombo have tripled, and the fares of flights from the United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka have also increased, from AED 1,200 to AED 1,500 to AED 1,900 to AED

The actual price of economy class air tickets from Mumbai exists between 880 AED and 1,480 AED but currently costs 2,367 AED for one-way tickets which people can purchase from February 14 to February 16. Air India offers flights at 4,792 AED while IndiGo charges 3,589 AED for its flights and the least expensive connecting flights are available at 2,769 AED.

The prices of the one-way economy fare to Delhi range from AED 1,000 to AED 1,550. The prices of the match day return ticket have increased to AED 4,845.

The price rise is because cricket enthusiasts show strong demand towards the upcoming India-Pakistan game which is scheduled to be held in the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup event at Colombo.
