DUBAI: Pakistan fast bowlers Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Abbas have been penalized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaching the Code of Conduct.
According to the ICC, both players committed a Level 1 violation of the Code of Conduct. Khurram Shahzad was fined 15 percent of his match fee, while Mohammad Abbas received an official warning.
One demerit point has been given by the ICC governing body to both players as punishment to this incident.
However, the exact information about the violation is not provided by the ICC but it is clarified by them that both the cricketers have accepted their violations of the code.
As the players have accepted the penalty, a hearing will not take place in this case and it has been concluded under the disciplinary procedure of the ICC.
