Applicants using an Overseas Employment Promoter (OEP) should first obtain the recruiter’s complete business name and licence number and verify its current status through the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE).
Authorities and experts caution jobseekers against dealing with recruiters whose licences have been suspended, cancelled, surrendered or expired.
Applicants are also advised to verify the authenticity of the job offer and ensure that all required government clearances and documentation are in place before making any payment.
The verification process can help protect jobseekers from fraudulent advertisements, unlicensed agents and fake overseas employment offers.
