Following an incident involving members of the transgender community, the District Police Officer (DPO) of Haripur has taken swift action by immediately suspending six police personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of City Police Station.

The action was taken after a joint inquiry committee, formed under the directives of DPO Haripur, finalised its initial investigation. The committee thoroughly reviewed available evidence and closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, concluding that multiple law enforcement officials were directly involved in the incident.
