ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued its third tender for the procurement of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for September, seeking bids for a cargo scheduled for delivery between Sept 12 and 16.
Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has invited international suppliers to submit bids for the LNG cargo. The deadline for submission is Sept 8, with the bids scheduled to be opened on the same day.
The latest tender comes after the government cancelled two LNG tenders earlier this month after rejecting the bids received due to their high prices.
The repeated tendering highlights the government’s efforts to secure LNG supplies at more competitive rates amid fluctuating international energy prices.
