ISLAMABAD: The government has approved early salary disbursement for government employees to ensure timely payments before the holiday period.

As per the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab, according to which salaries would be paid on April 30. This is in light of the Labour Day coming on May 1, followed by weekends, meaning that employees would get a long break during the holidays.

“The decision regarding the payment of salaries on April 30, 2026, is being made considering that there would be many holidays during the following week, including two weekends on May 3 and 4,” said Punjab Finance Department in a notification.

The notification further mentioned that this was a standard policy of the administration, which was practiced whenever there were consecutive public holidays.

As previously reported by the government, Labour Day would be observed as a public holiday in Pakistan in 2026.

Economic analysts commented that besides helping employees meet their financial requirements on time, such a measure would enable banks to conduct their business smoothly without any issue.

Meanwhile, if you are planning to buy a new Honda 70 but find it difficult to pay in full, then the limited-term 0% markup scheme offered by Bank Alfalah is a great opportunity.

Under this plan, you can get the bike without any down payment, with monthly instalments starting from around Rs. 5,700.

Under the special agreement between Atlas Honda and Bank Alfalah, the country’s most popular bike can now be acquired on very easy terms.

The most important aspect of this new financing scheme is that the buyer will not have to pay any initial amount i.e., down payment, while getting the bike.

In view of the current economic situation and rising inflation, this scheme has been provided with an interest-free facility, which means that the buyer will not have to pay any additional amount above the original price.

This facility has been introduced for the bank’s personal loan and credit card customers so that buyers can spread it over easy monthly instalments instead of paying a large lump sum.

A fixed processing fee will be applicable as per the bank’s rules, while Federal Excise Duty and other government taxes will have to be paid separately.

This is a special promotional offer that is available for a limited time and delivery of the bike is subject to stock availability at the dealership.
