KARACHI: Gold prices have witnessed a fresh increase in both local and international markets on Monday.

In the international bullion market, gold price rose by 9 US dollars per ounce to trade at 4,183 dollars. Dealers said the increase in local prices was in line with the upward trend in the international market amid global economic uncertainty and investor demand for safe-haven assets.

It is worth mentioning that gold prices have been highly volatile in recent weeks, fluctuating between gains and losses due to movement in the international market, currency exchange rates, and local demand. The All Pakistan Sarafa Association said prices were based on international market trends and local market conditions.
