KARACHI: Gold prices declined in Pakistan on Tuesday after rising for four consecutive days in the local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs600 per tola to Rs486,536.

The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs514, reaching Rs417,126, according to the association.

Gold prices also moved lower in the international market, where the price of the precious metal fell by $6 per ounce to $4,640.

Meanwhile, the price of silver declined by Rs100 per tola, bringing it to Rs7,279.

Despite Tuesday’s decline, market analysts expect gold prices to remain under pressure from global market movements and local demand. Experts have also indicated that the price of gold could cross the Rs500,000-per-tola mark during the current month.

The latest movement comes after four consecutive sessions of gains in both the domestic and international gold markets.
