ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another sharp increase on Friday, with the price of one tola of 24-karat gold rising by Rs26,400 over the past three days amid gains in both local and international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the rate of 24 carat gold has risen by Rs5,100 per tola today and is now available at Rs454,336 per tola.
Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of gold has risen by Rs4,372 and now stands at Rs389,519.
The price of gold had also risen by Rs21,300 per tola during the last two days.
Likewise, the rate of silver has risen by Rs280 per tola and is now available at Rs6,939.
In the international market, the rate of gold has also continued to rise as the price of gold has risen by $51 and is now available at $4,319 per ounce.
Market analysts attributed the surge to continued volatility in global markets and changes in international gold prices, which directly influence domestic rates.
