ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis seeking job opportunities in Germany must make sure that their educational qualifications are properly authenticated and duly approved according to the recent instructions.
It has been instructed by the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment that candidates should have their educational records verified through the German Recognition System prior to seeking employment and visa approvals.
According to the latest instruction, the German central agency for the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications, named Anabin would verify the validity of the degrees of students. It should be mentioned here that the German educational standard needs to be met by applicants.

As officials informed, institutions must be in H+ status while in some cases, only a few courses can be recognized in order to get full approval. It is important to mention here that the degree must satisfy the German educational standard.
Applicants need to provide Anabin verification certificates in two different forms. One document should be related to the status of institutions, and another one is related to the validation of degree of candidates. Also, it is necessary to note that the verification certificate from HEC should be compulsory for all candidates.
Additionally, it was indicated that if a degree and an institute were not registered in Anabin, then candidates would have to acquire a “Statement of Comparability” from ZAB, which might take up to three months. Hence, it would be best for candidates to start working on their applications beforehand to prevent any unnecessary delays.
Another point highlighted was that some professions in Germany, such as those in medicine, law, and education, required special authorizations and licenses. In other cases, regular academic certification would suffice.
It should also be noted that full and precise documentation not only eliminates any possibility of delay but also ensures better chances of success in the competitive German job market.
