RAWALPINDI: General Syed Aamer Raza, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Basalat, has assumed command of the National Strategic Command, where he was presented with a guard of honour.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Syed Aamer Raza visited the Martyrs’ Memorial after taking charge, laid a floral wreath, and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
Later, the newly appointed Commander of National Strategic Command called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated General Syed Aamer Raza on assuming his new responsibilities and extended his best wishes for his tenure.
The National Strategic Command is responsible for overseeing strategic assets and related national security responsibilities.
