The British Journal Financial Times, while describing Pakistan’s recent diplomatic strategy as a significant success, called Field Marshal Asim Munir a successful example of middle-power diplomacy.
According to the report, Pakistan’s effective foreign policy not only strengthened the country’s role on the global stage but also caused India to face disappointment on the diplomatic front. Financial Times writes that Pakistan’s leadership maintained dynamic and balanced diplomatic relations with Washington, Beijing, Riyadh, and Tehran simultaneously, which reflects an effective multilateral foreign strategy in the changing global situation.
The journal says that, in contrast to this diplomatic success, India faced difficulties in its middle-power strategy and could not adapt to the rapidly changing global scenario and changes in American politics, especially the style of politics of former President Donald Trump.
The report said that changing global politics has opened a new but complex era for middle powers, in which a flexible and balanced foreign policy has become indispensable for success. According to the Financial Times, Field Marshal Asim Munir effectively advanced Pakistan’s diplomacy in this changing global environment and included the country in the successful multi-alliances of middle powers.
The journal further wrote that Field Marshal Asim Munir has emerged as an effective strategic leader in the changing global system, under whose leadership Pakistan has established itself as a balanced, active, and reliable partner on the diplomatic front.
