SWAT: False news is being spread through a circulating tweet by accounts affiliated with PTI and Member of National Assembly Iqbal Afridi, in which a fabricated claim has been made that fugitive Murad Saeed’s disabled and sick mother has been evicted from her house as political revenge, the claim is completely based on lies and baseless propaganda.
According to official sources and administrative records, on October 20, 2026, on the instructions of the concerned authorities, the Commissioner Malakand Division vacated only one official residential house located in Swat, which had been illegally occupied for a long time by fugitive Murad Saeed’s brother Kaleem Saeed, who is also a Tax Assistant in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The operation was strictly limited to vacating the illegal occupation of government property. Family Still Living in Ancestral Home in Kabal Fugitive Murad Saeed’s father, mother, and other family members are residing in their ancestral house located in the Kabal area of District Swat, and the information being spread on social media regarding the eviction of his mother or father from the house is completely false and baseless.
During this administrative action, no contact was made with any member of the family, and the action was only against the official residence. Authorities have confirmed that identification and vacation operations of other government properties under illegal occupation in Swat and Malakand Division.
Presenting the legal action of ending illegal occupation of a government house as the eviction of a sick mother and a violation of Pashtun traditions is a deliberate attempt by PTI leaders to gain false public sympathy and to protect illegal occupation of government properties. Officials stated that government accommodation is meant for on-duty government servants and cannot be retained illegally after transfer or by family members of a fugitive.
