PESHAWAR: The Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that the drone attack in Tajikistan from Afghanistan highlights the threat posed to the region, saying that Pakistan strongly condemns the attack resulting in the killing of three Chinese nationals.
The Foreign Office has said that Pakistan condemns the cowardly attack on Chinese citizens in clear terms. Andrabi added that the use of armed drones highlights the seriousness of the threat coming from Afghanistan and the audacity of those behind it.
The statement further said that Pakistan has repeatedly been the victim of terrorist attacks from Afghan soil. Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism. The repeated use of Afghan soil by terrorist elements is of concern to the international community.
The spokesperson further said that concrete and verifiable action is the only way to deal with the threat. Pakistan will continue to work with China, Tajikistan, and other regional partners. It should be noted that on the night of November 26, Tajikistan was attacked from the Afghan border, in which grenades and a drone loaded with weapons were used, in which three Chinese nationals of LLC Shaheen SM were killed.
Tajikistan, expressing deep concern over the incident, said that it strongly condemns these actions of terrorist groups and calls on the Afghan rulers to ensure peace and stability on the border.
