LAHORE: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry visited the University of Technology Lahore to hold a special session with students and faculty members. The session covered important topics which included national security and the current fight against terrorism and the hybrid warfare that Pakistan faces.

DG ISPR showed that extremist groups like Khawarij and the networks that support “Fitna-e-Hindustan” increasingly endanger regional security. He explained that unity serves as the necessary force to fight these groups while he revealed existing security methods that protect against these threats.

During the session, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Munir honoured Operation Bunyan al-Marsos success which he called a historic achievement of the Pakistan Army. The operation demonstrated our armed forces’ bravery and professionalism, according to him, who took pride in military accomplishments.

The military spokesperson announced new information about Balochistan terrorist attacks which the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) carried out, while he showed how social media spreads false propaganda. He explained that exposing these deceptive stories should happen because the general public needs to understand the situation better.

DG ISPR defined the complete execution of the National Action Plan as essential for the complete elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. He praised Pakistan’s diplomatic achievements which followed the quest for justice, while he acknowledged how young people used social media to combat false information.

Students took part in the session by asking questions that covered different subjects. The DG ISPR answered all questions with exact and complete responses which helped students better understand the security problems faced by their country.

The students expressed their agreement with DG ISPR’s views on the role of social media algorithms in creating artificial trends, agreeing that such manipulations need to be addressed. The session received praise because they considered it a vital educational tool that would teach young people the facts about national security matters.

Students at the session concluded their commitment to defend the Pakistan Armed Forces by promising to protect their country from all external dangers that might arise.
