ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has had a telephonic conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in which the situation in the region was discussed in detail.

During the conversation, Ishaq Dar said the need for continuous dialogue and diplomatic contacts for peace and stability in the region and said that continuing dialogue is indispensable for resolving current issues.

The two foreign ministers agreed to continue diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran and expressed their determination to remain in close contact.

On this occasion, the two leaders also agreed on the expected telephonic contact between the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Pakistan today.

The leadership of both countries has agreed to continue close contact for peace and stability in the region.
