MIRANSHAH: The district administration of North Waziristan has announced a curfew on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in view of the expected movement of security forces in the district.
According to an official public notice issued by the administration, security forces’ movement is expected across the district from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday. Strict security arrangements will be in place during these hours.
The administration has urged the public to limit their daily activities during the specified time and to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies. “The purpose of this measure is to prevent any untoward incident and to maintain law and order in the area,” the notice stated.
The administration further clarified that the existing night-time restrictions will remain in force due to security reasons. Under these restrictions, there will be a complete ban on public movement from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
Residents have been asked to strictly adhere to the ban and avoid unnecessary travel outside. Residents have been directed to comply with government orders to avoid any legal action or inconvenience. Authorities said the temporary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of civilians and security personnel during operational activities in the district.
