ISLAMABAD: The district administration has intensified enforcement of the one-dish policy in wedding halls across the federal capital, sealing multiple marriage halls and marquees over violations.

According to officials, heavy fines were also imposed on several establishments found violating the policy. In cases of repeated violations, FIRs were registered against hall managers and owners.

Assistant Commissioners carried out operations during which responsible individuals were detained and shifted to lock-up.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed that the crackdown continue without any discrimination, stressing strict implementation of the one-dish policy across the city.

Citizens have also been urged to cooperate with the district administration in ensuring compliance with the regulations.

Officials reaffirmed that the federal government’s one-dish policy will be implemented in letter and spirit, said Irfan Memon.
