PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast mainly cold and partly cloudy weather across most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The province is expected to remain mainly cold with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the coming hours, according to the latest weather outlook. Hilly regions are likely to experience very cold temperatures during the night and early morning.

Meteorological officials have also warned of possible fog formation at a few locations, particularly in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Dera Ismail Khan, and adjoining areas during night and morning hours. Reduced visibility may affect travel in these districts, and commuters are advised to exercise caution.

The temperature forecast indicates that the minimum temperature in Chitral -1°C, and Dir is expected to be -3°C, while Malam Jabba is likely to record around 2°C. In the plains, temperatures are expected to drop to 8°C in Peshawar airport, 5°C in Bannu, 7°C in Dera Ismail Khan, and 3°C in Abbottabad.

Meanwhile, humidity levels have been recorded at 44% in Chitral, 33% in Dir, and 23% in Peshawar, according to the department’s report.
