QUETTA: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), visited Quetta on Wednesday, where he met injured personnel of the Army and Frontier Corps.
During his visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir received a comprehensive operational briefing on the current security environment and internal security operations.
The briefing included information on recent terrorist attacks carried out by Indian-backed, internationally designated terrorists associated with Fitna al Hindustan, as well as the strong response from security forces that foiled their attempts to undermine peace, stability, and development in Balochistan.
The discussion also addressed measures being taken to further strengthen the authority of the state and ensure the protection of citizens and critical infrastructure. The COAS and CDF emphasised that no terrorist or their facilitators would be spared and that all would be dealt with strictly according to the law.
He reiterated that violence and terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances. Additionally, he praised the professionalism, valour, and sacrifices of officers and troops from all law enforcement agencies for their role in thwarting anti-Pakistan designs and maintaining law and order.
Later, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, accompanied by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta, where he met with injured personnel from the Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and the Police. He commended their high morale, bravery, and steadfastness in protecting the homeland from foreign-sponsored terrorists.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the Commander of Quetta Corps.
