PESHAWAR: The closure of CNG stations in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made the lives of citizens miserable, and they demanded that the government ensure a smooth supply of CNG for drivers to avoid waste of time.

They said that CNG stations in Mardan, Abbottabad, and Karak, including the provincial capital Peshawar, are closed, due to which citizens are facing severe difficulties. The affected citizens said that the long shutdown of 16 hours a day has not only created transport problems but also made it difficult for domestic consumers to get gas. According to the citizens, neither gas is available in homes nor is fuel being supplied at CNG stations, due to which employment is being badly affected.

Citizens complained that they have to spend the whole day standing in lines at CNG stations, due to which labor and other work are being badly affected. The affected people say, “If you have to stand in lines all day, when will you do labor?”

CNG users and people associated with transport have demanded that the government and relevant institutions ensure gas supply and find an immediate solution to the problem of prolonged shutdown, so that the difficulties faced by citizens can be resolved.

Citizens say that if the problem of CNG shutdown continues, not only will daily life be affected, but inflation and unemployment may also increase further.
