PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi will visit Lahore today, where he will be engaged and have several meetings throughout the day.
The CM’s arrival will be celebrated with a grand welcome at 11:00 AM in Chakri and then a luncheon in his honour is to be held at Bhira at 1:00 PM, later that day.
The chief minister will stop in Sukhiki briefly at 2 PM and at 3 PM, the leadership from Central Punjab will meet him at the Ravi Toll Plaza.
A crucial meeting is also planned between CM Afridi and the leadership of the Central Punjab organization which will take place at 4 PM when he will be visiting Haider Majid’s residence in the evening.
At 5 pm, CM Afridi is expected to arrive at the Punjab Assembly where he will take charge of the parliamentary party meeting. The CM will also be honoured with an evening reception, and parliamentary members will be served dinner after that.
Later, a press briefing is scheduled at 8:30 PM, followed by visits to Liberty Market and Origa Market. The visit of CM Afridi will conclude with the 10:30 PM visit to the residence of Hassan Niazi.
This tour aims to create a stronger bond between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, devoting to imperative political and administrative discussions.
CM Afridi: Achakzai and Allama Nasir to decide on talks or protest movement
Earlier, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, stated that the decision regarding negotiations or a political movement with the government will be made by Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, who have been entrusted with all powers by the founder of PTI.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Jamrud, Sohail Afridi explained that the founder of PTI had specifically assigned them to take decisions related to talks with the government or to lead any political movements. Afridi further emphasized that the party’s instructions also include planning for a street movement, and preparations for the movement are already complete.
“Our efforts will focus on making the street movement a success, and we will not rest until we achieve our goal,” said Afridi.
Regarding the development of merged districts, Afridi reiterated his earlier commitment and announced that he had already pledged a one trillion rupee package for the development of these areas.
