PESHAWAR: Chicken prices displayed mixed trends across major cities on Sunday, with some areas experiencing price declines while others have seen an increase.
In Lahore, the wholesale price of live broiler chicken was set at Rs379 per kg, while the retail price was Rs393 per kg. The price of broiler meat was fixed at Rs569 per kg. Compared to the previous day, the price of broiler meat decreased by Rs8 per kg, and the cost of live chicken dropped by Rs5 per kg. Eggs were priced at Rs330 per dozen in the city.
In Multan, the wholesale rate for live broiler chicken was Rs374 per kg, with a retail price of Rs388 per kg. Broiler meat was available for Rs563 per kg, indicating a decrease of Rs8 per kg. Eggs were sold at Rs294 per dozen.
In Faisalabad, the wholesale price for live broiler chicken was set at Rs364 per kg, while the retail price stood at Rs378 per kg. The price of broiler meat rose to Rs548 per kg, reflecting an increase of Rs7 per kg. Eggs were available for Rs333 per dozen.
Meanwhile, in Peshawar, chicken prices increased by Rs10 per kg in just one day. According to the official rate list, the price of live chicken rose from Rs415 to Rs425 per kg.
