‎BUNER: Fed up with the increasing traffic problems and the roads being jammed for hours in the main commercial centers of Buner, Sawari and Daggar, local elders and the business community have demanded Barrister Gohar Ali to immediately start work on the Sawari-Duggar Bypass as per his election promises.

‎Sawari and Dugar are areas of Buner that are the administrative and commercial heart of the district. Traffic blockages on a daily basis have become the norm here due to narrow roads and encroachments. Especially ambulances and school buses face severe difficulties in passing.

Citizens say that the files of this project have been in various offices for the past several times, but practically no progress has been made.

‎Since Barrister Gohar belongs to village Daggar in Buner and is the current MNA (NA-10), the public has high hopes from him.

‎ Locals demand that special funds be allocated for this important project in collaboration with the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

‎In recent months, the pace of development work has been slow in Buner due to the flood situation and other political engagements. However, according to recent reports of February 2026, various delegations from Buner have met Barrister Gohar in which he assured that the construction and development of the district, especially the improvement of communication infrastructure, is among his top priorities.

‎The people of Buner say that if the Sawari Daggar Bypass is constructed, it will not only solve the traffic problem but also boost trade in the area.
