HANGO: Funeral prayers were offered for 10 police officials, including DSP City Diyar Khan, who were martyred in a terrorist attack on the Khazina Banda police check post in Hangu.
A large number of civil administration officials, police officers, and citizens attended the funeral prayers. Floral wreaths were laid on the bodies of the martyrs, and tribute was paid to their great sacrifice.
Following the prayers, the bodies were sent to their native towns for burial. Late last night, a terrorist attack on a police check post in Hangu left 10 personnel martyred and 22 others injured.IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed said that 12 to 15 terrorists were killed in retaliatory action by police.
According to DPO Hango, terrorists attacked the Khazina Banda check post, in which DSP City Diyar Khan along with 9 other officials embraced martyrdom. DPO Hangu Tariq Habib said that operations against terrorists in the area will continue.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack by Khawarij on the police check post in Hangu and paid tribute to the martyred officials.
