PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser, Barrister Dr. Saif, sharply criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for taking credit for public welfare projects, accusing her of attempting to falsely project herself and her father, Nawaz Sharif, as national heroes.

He argued that without a legitimate mandate and a proven record of public service, they had no right to claim ownership of development projects. Dr. Saif also questioned their moral authority, pointing to the London flats allegedly acquired through misuse of public funds.

According to him, the nation is well aware that both Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz gained power through rigged elections. He urged political leaders to honor the democratic process and refrain from exploiting public resources for personal gain, stressing that true leadership must stem from the people’s will.
