ISLAMABAD: The opposition leaders met with National assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq and raised the issue of meetings between the Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his family members.

The opposition has formed a joint committee comprising members of the senate and national assembly. The committee’s delegation met with national assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq, during which PTI chairman Barrister Gohar raised the issue of meetings between the PTI founder, Imran Khan, and his family members.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq stated that he has consistently emphasized the importance of dialogue, as negotiations are the only way to resolve issues.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser said that the Speaker was given a clear message to complete the process of appointing the opposition leader. Discussions were also held regarding obstacles preventing party leaders from meeting the PTI founder.

Asad Qaiser warned that if such obstacles continue, the opposition would not allow parliamentary proceedings to continue. He added that the opposition committee would adopt a joint strategy within the parliament to address these issues.
