BANNU: Despite the third consecutive term of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it has been revealed that the Bannu district has been completely neglected in development works.

In particular, the people of the PK-100 constituency of the Provincial Assembly are deprived of even basic travel facilities despite twice making a PTI candidate successful with a huge majority. The people of the constituency and local traders say that the main road of Kaki tehsil has been in severe disrepair for a long time, but the administration and elected representatives are not taking any interest in its reconstruction.

The citizens expressed their deep anger and said that instead of paving the road, sometimes gravel and sometimes only soil and pebbles are poured on it and left. This process has become a cruel joke with the local population, instead of improving the road.

Due to dust, mud, and potholes, while on the one hand, pedestrians and vehicles are being severely damaged, on the other hand, the business of shopkeepers has also come to a standstill, and accidents on the road have become a routine.

The residents of PK-100 have complained to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the concerned authorities and demanded that the treatment of Bannu like a stepmother be stopped. They made it clear that if regular construction work is not started immediately on the main road of Tehsil Kaki, they will be forced to protest strongly and take to the streets for their rights.
