PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s youngest taekwondo athlete, Ayesha Ayaz, has received a new international honor by winning one gold and one silver medal at an international taekwondo tournament in Indonesia.
Ayesha produced an excellent tournament. Her strength and perseverance in her multiple category entries inspired many with the enthusiasm shown from fans, coaches and sports people following events in Pakistan.
While talking to the media following her win, Ayesha said:
“I’m really happy. This is all down to God’s blessing support from all my supporters and hard work. I’m thankful for every Pakistani who has supported me.”
She was also keen to return home soon and celebrate with the country.

Sports experts commented that Ayesha Ayaz’s achievement was more than positive news for sports in Pakistan. It was a beacon for female sports in the future. They referred to young people with proper training and government and sports support, there would always be a chance for victories for new young millionaires.
