The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court has delivered verdicts in two additional cases related to the incidents of May 9, sentencing four leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), including Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mehmood Ur-Rasheed, to 10 years in prison each.

Judge Arshad Javed announced the verdict at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. The court’s decision pertains to cases involving vehicles that were set on fire in the Gulberg area and a container burned at Kalma Chowk. The formal charges for these cases had previously been submitted to the court by the Gulberg and Nasirabad police stations.

According to the court ruling, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mehmood Ur-Rasheed, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, and Ijaz Chaudhry have each been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.

The challan for Shah Mahmood Qureshi was not presented in either case.

In the case involving the burning of vehicles, four accused individuals, including Mian Aslam Iqbal, have been declared absconders.

In the case of the burned container, twelve accused, including Mian Aslam Iqbal, have also been declared absconders.

The trial has been completed for 29 accused in the case of the vehicles being set on fire.

Additionally, the trial for 24 accused in the case of the burned container has also been completed.
