In the last group-stage match of the Asia Cup 2025, India beated Oman by 21 runs after a resilient chase by the Gulf side.
Batting first, India set a strong total of 188/8 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored with 56 runs, while Abhishek Sharma (39) and Tilak Verma (29) added valuable contributions. For Oman, Shah Faisal, Jiten Ramanandi, and Aamir Kaleem took two wickets each.
Chasing 189, Oman’s openers gave a steady start, followed by a fighting knock of 51 off 33 balls from Hammad Mirza. Despite keeping wickets in hand, Oman managed only 167/4 in their allotted overs.
