LONDON: The daughter of former Pakistan international cricketer and current national team head coach Aqib Javed, Uqba Aqib, has tied the knot in the United Kingdom.
Aqib Javed’s wife, poet and author Farzana Aqib shared photographs from the wedding on social media, showing the bride in a white sleeveless outfit and the groom wearing a formal suit.
According to Farzana Aqib, the wedding took place in the UK on August 9. She also extended prayers and good wishes for a happy and successful married life for the couple and both families.
Uqba Aqib is reportedly highly educated and completed her degree in Media and International Journalism from the University of Sussex around three to four years ago.
Farzana Aqib is known for her literary work and English poetry. According to information shared on her Facebook page, she has authored more than 70 books of English poetry and has received several international literary awards.
Aqib Javed is a former Pakistan international cricketer and currently serves as the head coach of the Pakistan men’s national cricket team across all three formats. He is also a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Men’s National Selection Committee.
