PESHAWAR: To make its youth wing more active and engaged in party affairs, the Awami National Party (ANP) has constituted a committee tasked with giving more effective role for young party workers in future.
According to statement issued here on Saturday from Bacha Khan Markaz, the committee will be headed by the ANP Central General Secretary Dr. Salim Khan. The committee will include representatives from the party’s central cabinet and central working committee, along with members from all provinces. Sangeen Khan Advocate and Khan Zaman Kakar will represent central cabinet and cenrtal working commttee of the party respectively.
The committee will have representation from across the provinces and Islamabad. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be represented by Tariq Afgham Advocate and Sana Gulzar, while Balochistan will have Wali Dad Miani and Sanaullah Kakar as its representatives. Punjab will be represented by Roidad Khan and Taimor Afghan, while Younis Buneri and Rehman Babar will represent Sindh. Islamabad will be represented by Taj Buneri and Nadeem Sarwar.
The move is aimed at providing young party workers with greater opportunities to participate in organisational and political activities and strengthening their involvement in the party’s affairs.
The committee is also expected to propose measures to further organise and mobilise the party’s youth, with a focus on giving them a more active and meaningful role within the ANP. The initiative reflects the party’s efforts to strengthen its organisational structure by engaging younger workers and creating greater opportunities for their participation.
